Copenhagen is known for its coffee and bakery scene. Although expensive, every sip of coffee and bite of pastry is worth every euro you pay. Here are my notes on the cafés I have been fortunate enough to visit over my last two trips to Denmark's capital.
Hans Coffee - Indre By
Initially greeted by the smell of coffee and hardworking staff dishing up breakfast plates (BMO's) as you walk to the underworld of Hans Coffee.
Outside seating along the buildings wall if you desire.
The best breakfast plate I have had the pleasure of eating. Perfect ratio of jam and whipped butter accompanied by thinly sliced cheese.
Coffee itself is very good, but not great. Milk texturing could be better but nice notes of fruit and warmth.

Grums
Alternate, funky and just the right ratio of cheese to bread on their BMO.
A very strong contender for favourite coffee in Copenhagen, narrowly beaten by Orsa.
Thin wooden tables, board games and white tiles on the wall, this café has an edgy feel to it.

Orsa
A café that takes their coffee serious with a Spotify playlist that does not mess around.
My favourite coffee in Copenhagen and potential contender for favourite breakfast plate? Rhubarb jam is a solid pairing with their thin slices of comté cheese.
A minimalist interior compared to others with the coffee bar at the centre stage of the room.
Juno the Bakery provide their pastries.

Prolog
It's minimalist interior and loud blue cloud-like ceiling ornaments let you know this is going to be a good coffee.
Pastries provided by Juno but the price tag on the flat white is enough to make you hold off on buying that baked good.
Is it worth the hype however? Yes, if coffee is your question, Prolog is the answer.

Atelier September
A good atmosphere, tasty coffee and a delicious morning plate. More expensive than any other café I visited during my stay in Copenhagen. A queue is to be expected, however not worth it in my opinion. However, it is good.

P88
River views, good coffee and becomes a wine bar at night. How could you not like this place. Board games available as an extra bonus.

Cabin
Café from the team behind Bar Vitrine, this is a gem. They serve breakfast and lunch with an Asian fusion and Tim Wendelboe coffee (IYKYK). The interiors give you a sense of genuinely steeping foot inside a wood cabin.

La Banchina
Great vibes, friendly staff and good coffee. No notes needed.

Baden
Coffee inside a train style interior? Yes please. This is a cool spot. Right on the riverfront and serving a great, yes, great coffee. They do smorrebrod too if you're hungry.
