I only recommend things I've genuinely used and would use again. This page covers the booking tools, gear and apps that have made my trips easier — from budget weekend breaks to longer adventures. If something didn't work for me, it's not here.
a teacher on the road
One minute of your time is all you need to read this and join me on my journeys.
I am a Business and Economics teacher from Ireland. Thanks to my job, I get A LOT of time off, particularly during Christmas and the summer. I always try to prioritise travelling as much as I possibly can. I don't do anything extra to supplement my adventures, I just love to travel, so that's what I do.
My first proper adventure was to Southeast Asia. I caught the inevitable travel bug after spending 5 weeks out there. From living with tribes to cheering on Muay Thai fight and feeding elephants, that trip opened my eyes to the world.
To me, travel is an opportunity to connect with culture, meet new people, and escape to new realities. I don't travel on a budget - but I am no lottery winner. It is unrealistic to set limits to your daily spend. However, I do aim to keep costs low whilst getting the best out of my trips.
This corner of the internet is where I share my stories, tips, recommendations, and honest opinions on the places I have been to. I also love to drink the occasional coffee, so check out my socials linked at the bottom of this page for more behind the scenes content.
Oh, don't forget to subscribe to my newsletter to get honest reviews, tips and exclusive itinerary inspirations for your next adventure.
